Differences between ITAM, ITOM, ITSM and ESM
The terms ITAM, ITOM, ITSM and ESM refer to different disciplines in the field of IT and business services. Here are the differences and focal points of the individual concepts:
ITAM (IT Asset Management)
- Focus: Management and optimization of IT assets (hardware, software, licenses, etc.)
- Objective: Maximize the value and useful life of IT assets, ensure compliance and minimize costs.
- Examples: Inventory of hardware, software license management, life cycle management of IT assets.
ITOM (IT Operations Management)
- Focus: Monitoring and management of daily IT operating processes.
- Objective: To ensure the availability, performance and efficiency of the IT infrastructure and services.
- Examples: Network and server management, system performance monitoring, incident management.
ITSM (IT Service Management)
- Focus: Provision and management of IT services according to the needs of the organization and end users.

How often does the TOOL MEETUP take place?
This year, we are offering the opportunity to take part in this extraordinary event at several locations in Germany - in Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich. Take the chance to be there, because the next opportunity will probably not be until next year.
Why is my preparation so important?
At the TOOL MEETUP, it's up to you. You have the unique opportunity to discuss your company's requirements, wishes and complex obstacles directly with manufacturers in order to find the ideal solution. If you don't know your own challenges and requirements, you will benefit much less from the event. Therefore, our tip: Come with your colleagues (e.g. three of you) and take the opportunity to get to know all tool manufacturers (approx. 18 exhibitors) personally in 6 sessions.
Should I attend the event alone or with several colleagues?
We strongly recommend that you do not come to the event alone. With numerous providers and only 6 sessions per day, you won't be able to get to know all the manufacturers that are suitable for your company on your own. It is therefore a good idea to divide the sessions up and discuss them afterwards.
What if I still have questions after the Meetup?
